The concert of the Pugliese Philharmonic Orchestra is organized by New Music Promotion in collaboration with the Municipality of Ostuni, and will be broadcast live on Ostuni News, media partner of the event. The Pugliese Philharmonic Orchestra was born in Molfetta in 2013 from the will of a group of musicians who have long been active in the area in the orchestral, educational and solo fields. This project is the only orchestral reality in the area capable of enclosing the best individualities of all the associations and music schools of the city and of the neighboring territories, with individualities that also come from conservatories from other provinces.
The conductor, maestro Giovanni Minafra, is a teacher at the "U. Giordano ”of Foggia, former teacher at the“ N. Piccinni ”of Bari, where he graduated brilliantly, played with the symphonic orchestras of Bari, Lanciano, Pescara, Fiesole and Alessandria. With the orchestra of the Petruzzelli Theater in Bari he participated in significant tours in the largest theaters in the world (Paris, Leningrad, Rio De Janeiro, Cairo, Sidney, Moscow, Lille, San Paolo) and made numerous recordings for Rai and famous houses record companies, under the direction of illustrious conductors such as Abbado, Oren, Franci, Pidò, Gatti, Lipkin, Acs, Marvulli, Aprea, Samale, Renzetti.
